¡¡Liberal Internacional busca un “Regional Development Officer”!!
(Julio de 2005) La federación mundial de los partidos liberales está buscando un especialista en política internacional para sus proyectos en el área no-europea.
Algunos objetivos sobre la búsqueda:
“The officer will provide support to Liberal International in raising awareness on political developments and other issues relating to democracy-building and policy development amongst its member parties, associations and individuals, with a specific focus on non-European regions. The activities organised will ensure that typical regional concerns are placed on Liberal International’s global agenda and will provide members with political instruments and expertise in the advancement of liberal democracy in their country. To implement this agenda, the officer will have at their disposal an extensive network of parliamentarians, policy makers and liberal parties around the world.”
Las principales tareas del puesto:
“Research political party developments and other issues relating to democracy building in non-European regions; Writing and editing reports, articles and resolutions; Helping organise international political events; Congresses and Conferences; Following the activities of the democracy building foundations and, if appropriate, representing LI; Develop and update an archive of contacts of liberal parties and personalities; help establish relations with potential new LI member parties and follow up on membership issues with those parties (continuous); Contribute to the quarterly magazine (Aerogramme) and news items for weekly electronic newsletter (continuous)”.
Los requisitos:
“Proven understanding of political processes; fluent in English and a working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is considered an advantage; experience in the organisation of political events, preferably on an international level; an understanding of and affinity with the policies of Liberal International; excellent interpersonal skills; experience in writing and editing political speeches, articles and resolutions; she/he will be eligible to work in the United Kingdom. The salary scale for the position will be £25,000 - £30.000 per annum. The Regional Development Officer will be based in London. There will be no refund of moving expenses.
